Each county keeps its own assessor records and its own recording office, so the first thing to settle is which county an address is in. The records card above links Harris County; an address in Fort Bend County, Montgomery County and Waller County is searched through that county's offices instead.
In Texas, deeds and subdivision plats are recorded by the county clerk. For Harris County, that office is the Harris County Clerk's Office, Real Property Department. Texas publishes no statewide map of recorded parcels that LotSite could find on state sites, so the records kept by Harris County are the place to look.
